With
All youth in grades 2 through 8 are invited to participate in this yearly choir and youth activity. Children must be able to read, have a love for music and be willing to sing at 12 rehearsals and 4 masses from October to April (Easter). Other youths may become involved after evaluation by Rich Krehnovi, Music Director, and with parental guidance. Teens (grades 6th through 8th) will be the primary song leaders (cantors).
The Sunday sessions are under the guidance and instruction of Rich Krehnovi and Nickkie Richards. However, if rehearsals are missed, the youth may not be permitted to sing for the upcoming Mass.
Scheduled sessions are the 1st and 3rd Sunday of the month from 5:30p.m. to 7:00p.m. Music rehearsals are from 5:30p.m. to 6:15 p.m. in the church choir area. The youth activities are from 6:15p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in Pastors’ Hall. During our Sunday sessions, please enter through the west doors of the church (back parking lot). This will be the only door open to drop off and pick up.
Music folders are distributed to the youth choir members which they are to bring to every scheduled session. The music folder will need to be returned at the end of the year.
Reward stickers will be issued to those youth attending rehearsals, activities and for singing at Sunday Masses as well as for participation and spirit. Youth choir members can trade in their reward stickers for ticketed items or prizes.
