CATHOLIC TIMES...it is that time for renewal. Please remit payment of $17 (our parish rate) to continue or to begin your subscription. In your Offertory packet this month is an envelope for you to use. This newspaper is a great resource to receive a Catholic perspective on the world around us.
PARISH LENTEN RETREAT DAY, Saturday, March 13th. Registration opens at 8:30am. Morning Prayer will begin in the sancturary at 9am. Bring a friend or two to share in this Lenten spiritual renewal. If you stay the entire day, please bring a sack lunch. We will provide the beverage. The day will conclude with a contemporary Service of Praise and Worship at 3pm in the sanctuary. Presenter this year is Father Rod Damico from St. Paul's Parish. Cost is Free but please pre-register by calling the Parish Office.
ESTATE PLANNING & FAMILY CARE GIVING SEMINAR
Sunday, March 14th from 2pm to 4pm in St. Elizabeth Pastors' Hall. Featured speakers: Bob Hendrix, attorney specialing in estate and family planning; Jim Kebe, former Pastoral Assistant at St. Catherine Parish, MA Pastoral Studies from Loyola University with a focus on Care for the Elderly; Andy Christian, insurance agent. Estate planning topics include basic estate and tax law, wills, and other documents. Family care giving topics include preparing for elderly family care, nursing and home care, support groups and financial issues. Sponsored by the Knights of Columbus Councils from St. Elizabeth and St. Anthony parishes.
EXCITING NEWS!!! St. Elizabeth Parish is starting a unique, ongoing fundraiser through Shaklee that will be targetred to help fund upcoming maintenance items that are not within our current budget. Such as items include but are not limited to the following: replacing a 30 year old heating & air conditioning system; repairing and/or replacing the parking lot; and replacing church carpet.
Our Parish Volunteer Coordinator, Amy Cotter, will be our Shaklee Representative. Shaklee has over 300 products (vitamins, household cleaners, personal care and beauty products).
